A special thank you to Marcela, César, Oscar, Allen, Victor, Gerardo, Tony, and Daniel. The morning we said goodbye was HARD! I’ve never felt like we were leaving friends at the end of a vacation like that. What an experience! And what a gift for our kids to experience such hospitality-people going totally above and beyond. Well, César talked to Marcela who ended-up bringing us homemade tamales (made by her mother) to try. Near the end of our week, my husband wanted to try Costa Rican Tamales which he’d heard were a Costa Rican Christmas specialty, so he asked Cesar where he could find them thinking he’d get a good referral. Strawberry and mango smoothies -favorites of the kiddos, and my favorite - the frozen blackberry margarita! (Thank you César for the introduction, Gerardo for the prep, and Oscar for the one our last night in Costa Rica). Every single meal was a home run and we tried a LOT! And don’t forget the amazing drinks. So I will say I rate all three as a ten on a scale of 1 - 10.Our family stayed at Si Como No for the week of Christmas. All rooms feature private balcony, fully stocked mini-bar menu. All of the staff were friendly and went out of their way to accommodate. The Superior Rooms include a balcony with partial ocean and jungle views. The view was spectacular over looking the jungle and ocean. Claro Que Si restaurant, and casual dining at the Rico Tico bar and grill. We stopped at Si Como No Rico Tico Jungle Grill for breakfast and were not disappointed.
